About Dr. Scamperle

Louisa Scamperle, PsyD, is a post-doctoral fellow being supervised by Dr. Katerina Nair of Dallas Therapy Associates. Dr. Scamperle received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the APA-accredited Institute for Psychological Sciences at Divine Mercy University in Sterling, Virginia. She completed her APA-accredited predoctoral internship at Park Center, Inc. in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Her clinical experiences include psychological assessment, psychotherapy, crisis management, and consultation as a member of multidisciplinary teams in inpatient, outpatient, school, residential, crisis, and private practice settings.  

At DTA, Dr. Scamperle offers individual therapy and psychological assessment for children and adults. Dr. Scamperle’s approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, strength-based, and trauma-informed. Her theoretical orientation is interpersonal, which integrates interventions from attachment, cognitive-behavioral, and psychodynamic theories to best fit each client’s needs. Her areas of clinical interest include anxiety, comorbid disorders, depression, life transitions, play therapy, relationship difficulties, spiritual concerns, and trauma.
