About Dallas

Dallas McDougal (they/them) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate with a master of science degree in marriage and family therapy from Texas Woman’s University.  They are passionate about helping couples from all backgrounds, especially those in the LGBTQIA2S+/queer community and alternative relationship structures.  Dallas has worked previously with community members and crime victims in a trauma-focused, nonprofit setting and is no stranger to high conflict relationships.

Dallas knows that therapy can be daunting, that admitting you want to work on your relationship can feel like a big step that most of us do not want to take.  However, they want you to know that a relationship does not have to be on the edge of divorce or separation to get a little work done.  They weave together attachment theory, emotionally focused therapy, and experiential techniques into a systemic, integrative and pragmatic approach to help you create lasting change in your interactions with your partner(s).  Their personality shines through in their therapeutic style, flavoring sessions with straightforward communication and humor.

Outside the therapy room, Dallas enjoys a variety of crafts, the occasional tabletop or video game, paddleboarding, and long walks through the woods with their friends and spouse.
