About Claire

I hold a strong belief that most, if not all, people could benefit from counseling in some form or fashion. My hope is to provide my clients a warm and nonjudgmental space so that we may explore their past and present and give them the opportunity to use their newfound insight to pave new paths that may better serve them.

Though I have a particular clinical interest in relational issues, sexual abuse trauma, Borderline Personality Disorder, and Dissociative Disorders, I am open to working with any individuals aged 13 and above who are experiencing a wide array of mental health concerns. While I primarily operate from a psychodynamic framework, I may utilize outside techniques in order to accommodate the unique preferences and needs of my clients. I am trained in both EMDR and Prolonged Exposure Therapy, which allow clients to revisit and process trauma on a deeper level.

I have worked in a number of settings, including inpatient and IOP/PHP, and it brings me immense joy to use my professional experience as well as my own personal experience in order to assist those struggling with mental health issues. I offer in-person and telehealth sessions during the weekdays and am generally able to respond to inquiries within one business day. If you feel we may be a match, I encourage you to reach out.

I am currently accepting new clients at the Dallas location and via telehealth. To schedule please email directly at cbedford@DTAcare.com or via the contact us page.
