Bianca Hemphill, LPA

About Ms. Hemphill

Bianca Hemphill is a Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA) with Independent Practice licensure. She has a passion for supporting others and is committed to helping individuals achieve their full potential and enhance their quality of life. Ms. Hemphill utilizes an eclectic style of therapy, integrating various treatment modalities to match the client’s needs and preferences. She loves incorporating art, music, and play into more traditional therapy. Ms. Hemphill believes in developing a strong therapeutic relationship in order to work collaboratively with you to achieve your personal goals. Her primary focus is working with youth (ages 7 to 22) to address interpersonal, emotional (e.g., depression, anger, anxiety), and behavioral concerns (e.g., conduct problems, oppositional behaviors, ADHD).

Ms. Hemphill has worked in a variety of clinical outpatient settings, including individual, family, & group therapy; intensive in-home services; and community support services to help adults increase self-sufficiency. She completed her internship in the Intensive Outpatient Program at Carolinas Medical Center.

Ms. Hemphill also conducts psychological evaluations with children, adolescents, and adults. She is qualified and experienced in intellectual and personality assessment and tests of academic achievement. She uses psychological assessment for diagnostic clarification, level of care determinations, and providing other therapeutic and/or academic recommendations.

Ms. Hemphill obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Houston in 2003, after which she focused on research studying the effects of domestic violence on children. She obtained her Master of Arts in Clinical and Community Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2009, where her focus was on evaluating the effectiveness of Systems of Care for children with severe emotional and behavioral concerns.
